Mathematics helps children make sense of the world around them. Through exploring numbers, patterns, shapes, and problem-solving, children build confidence in their ability to calculate, reason, and think creatively. Maths is part of everyday life, and as children deepen their understanding, they also learn about the many cultures and people who have helped shape the maths we use today. Our aim at Eardisley CE School is to make maths enjoyable, meaningful, and accessible for every child.
We use a variety of resources from White Rose and Maths Mastery NCETM (National College for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics) to help structure the teaching and learning of maths through the school. Our maths lessons meet all the national curriculum expectations in a fun, inclusive and age-appropriate way.
